The problem
In cash-on-delivery markets the dominant loss driver is not card fraud. It is orders that are never collected, leaving the merchant with wasted shipping and return costs. Generic fraud tools are built for card-present markets and miss this entirely, and they have no regional data to reason about.
What we built
- Embeds into Shopify Admin and scores every incoming order in real time.
- Combines address, phone, ZIP and name validation with customer order and delivery history, purchase frequency and heuristic scam signals into a 0–100 risk score with a confidence level.
- Surfaces scores as risk tags on the order and in a unified review list where merchants can sort, filter, flag orders and inspect the reasoning behind each score.
- Lets merchants tune sensitivity per product and category, so high-margin or high-fraud SKUs are treated differently.
- Pushes high-risk orders via instant email alerts, and reports delivery rates, flagged volume and money saved in a weekly and monthly performance dashboard.
- Fully GDPR compliant, available in Romanian and English.
A cross-store network effect no generic tool has
Risko's model is trained on local order data and benefits from customer history shared across every store on the network. A repeat non-collector is visible even on their first order at a given shop, a regional data advantage that generic, card-market fraud tools cannot replicate.
